Here's a good article about parenting.
I guess it's natural that once you know you'll add another member in your clan, you'll become interested to read about parenting...

Recently, I started to get hooked to a book I bought even before I know that I'm expecting; thanks to the compelling cover and of course the title - "French Children Don't Throw Food". I never expect that the book is about parenting guide...all the way from Paris! Bienvenue en France mere... O, la la!
A book by Pamela Druckerman...hurm, I just saw a website that disagree with her - "French Children Don't Throw Food" (When People Are Watching)...haha!
So far I've read 4 chapters which thought me about; trained your baby to wait (patient), sleep during night without waking up often, taking her meals 4 times a day and no supper and letting her playing by herself. Interesting! I really hope I can practice both those less forcing French and Islam parenting techniques.
Really at the end of the day parenting I guess (so far) is all about training your kids...and patience is essential. Hadoih!
InsyaAllah.
Your
baby will have a core personality that he or she is already born with.
Extrovert, or introvert... go with it... and try to find out what his
or her strengths are and emphasize those... and relax and enjoy...these
days go by really, really fast.
One day at a time...and remember to ask ALLAH for help. - Dr. Maryam Bachmeier
